Avis important (en anglais)
The Payette River flow is changing constantly with the higher temperatures. To prevent silting up its structures and canal, the hydroelectric plant will shutdown when river ‘suspended-sediment’ test results are high. Hydro plant may have to be shut down for several days during these occurrences.
Please note that during hydro plant shutdowns, no water is diverted toward the diversion canal and that the flow in the river, downstream of the rubber dam structure, increases significantly. That excess of water flow may causes the flooding of the standing wave and make it disappear.
We will post any new development on this site.
Thank you,
HBHC Plant Superintendent
